If you are a musical act, director or promoter wanting to put your videos on FlipStarz.com, here is what you need to know:

• First, make an account here. You could wait in the corner hoping that we will somehow notice your videos, but why? Get on our radar here and introduce yourself with a status message.

• Once you have an account, you can put all the videos you want in your profile textbox, no approval needed. I recommend making a YouTube playlist with your strongest videos first and embedding that. Think of this as your Pinoy Myspace page. You can put audio players too. For local and unsigned bands, this is the best way to put up yall your videos right away.

• Videos submitted to the video catalog need to be approved and follow the guidelines below.

• FlipStarz.com's video catalog is for Pinoy Music Videos. We accept music videos from Filipino, Fil-Am, and Hyp-noy (hyphenated Pinoy) artists. Otherwise, the video should be it should be Pinoy related somehow. Please note that everyone is welcome as a member here, its just that we have a lot of random spam-bots and promoters who post videos without reading what the site is about.

• If you have Pinoy heritage but its not obvious from your music or how you look, tell us your story on your profile before you submit videos to the catalog, or we might think you are a spammer (see above). We would hate to turn down your video just because we made an assumption, so let us know what's up.

• The videos you submit to the catalog should be high quality music videos. Unless you are already a famous public figure, this means a real music video with a director, or a high quality VLOG type YouTube performance.

• You should be able to hit the notes you are trying to sing. The catalog is for signed or talented amateur musicians. 95% of the videos we accept are from people who are paid to perform. Enough said.

• All videos in the catalog are YouTube embeds. Vimeo works as well. On the YouTube video page, click Share and then click Embed. Grab the code that is 480px wide. 

• Please cut off the color bars and remove or minimize countdowns and slates. By international standards overdoing these is actually considered unprofessional. If you are not Rico Blanco or Yeng Constantino, no one is going to wait 30 seconds for your video to start. We don't have any analog broadcast gear to calibrate or videotape decks to pre-roll. On the computer, viewers can always pause on a 4 second slate if they want to read it (or they can just read the description). I know most of the Filipino record labels and directors think its cool to upload their videos with color bars, but they shouldn't. There are no color bars on Vevo. Videos with excessive clickable annotations or promotional titling may be rejected.

• We heavily edit titles and descriptions. Please write something informative about your video, the more the better. Just don't be mad if we correct your spelling or change it around a bit. Try to stick to 1 link. The rest can go on your profile. Credits are great, in fact, since they are see by search engines, they are better than slates. Lyrics are good. Don't bother putting tags, we will do it. The format for titles is:  Artist Name - "Song Title" description

          Look at how some of the videos on the site are titled and try to follow that.

• Start with 1 or 2 of your best videos and let's go from there. This will avoid disappointment if we dont accept your first submissions. We will let you know if you should submit more. We probably wouldn't approve more than a couple at a time anyway, just to space their release out. Sometimes videos sit in the line for a long time without being approved. 

HOW TO SUBMIT VIDEOS:

1. Go to the menu tab that says Videos and click it, then...
2. Click + Add in the top right of the page
3. Paste in your embed code. Please use the code that is 480px wide.
4. Make sure to clean up the title and description (see above.)
5. If your video fits in the guidelines, the it should be approved in a day or 2.

Again, you can always put a playlist or videos up in the text box on your profile.
