VJ Playlists are featured on the front page of the FlipStarz site, which averages 200+ unique visitors a day.

We invite FlipStarz moderators and Pinoy Music VIPs to contribute VJ Playlists. This is a great way to expose your favorite Pinoy Music to our worldwide audience.

Our format is a  1-hour YouTube playlist. Optionally, you can include VJ announcement videos (:30sec to 1:30)  if you like, to introduce yourself and the concept of the playlist. We would probably put one after the first song, and a second one halfway through the show.

We would love one-time playlists, but are open to regular contributors who want to have a monthly show.

We can also cross-blog and promote the projects of playlist contributors on the description page - making this a great way to create links to your site.

The playlists should have a theme, and should include a short written description telling about the songs and why you put them together. The theme could be something like:

  • Songs of one artist over an entire career, tracing how they changed or common threads.
  • One style of music from a particular time period or scene. For instance Mindanao Reggae bands. Whatever you can think of.
  • Songs that are all different styles but create a certain mood for you (kind of the classic style mix tape)
  • All videos by one director, or made in a similar style (black and white, animated, bootlegs, etc)
  • Just new stuff you think should be exposed

My goal is to have a new playlist to feature every week. All the playlists will be archived as part of our re-designed streaming center (coming soon). The previous streaming center page was the #2 page on the site, so even in archive form, we expect these playlists to be getting views for years to come.

So by now you are probably all thinking "that's a good idea..."

Can I count on you for a playlist by the end of the month?
