One of the most exciting artists in the Philippines today, Chelo Aestrid is an intelligent and stylish provocateur – a Pinay Gwen Stefani or Missy Elliot whose genius crosses all boundaries. Born in Cebu, and raised in LA (with a stint in London as well), she returned to the RP to pursue her artistic career. After an indie label solo album in 2001, she was released again in 2004 as the creative force of the Cebu girl-group "Haylo". Until recently though, she was probably best known as a member of the internationally acclaimed freestyle dance group the Philippine Allstars. Chelo made her big break when she partnered with Q-York on the 2009 single "Mainit". ~j.wing

thats a good point. the art direction - color schemes, graphics, props, hair and make, create a world that adds so much to the song. it would be a great song without the video, but the visuals really stick in my mind because they suggest a new scene thats exciting. Its something even beyond the underground world you see in the other videos she is in with q-york etc.
